Taylor Swift may be successful, but whether or not she's a feminist remains to be seen—when asked about the subject, she's previously stated, "I don't really think about things as guys versus girls. I never have." That gives us absolutely no definitive answer, yes, but it's hard to deny that some of her song lyrics don't exactly root for the cause. Case-in-point: In her 2010 single "Better than Revenge," she says of actress Camilla Belle (who began dating Swift’s ex Joe Jonas after they broke up), "[she's] an actress/ but she’s better known for things that she does on the mattress." Yikes.

Worry not, though; a new Twitter parody account, FeministTaylorSwift, is here to help. The account offers a Twitter feed full of Swift's lyrics remixed with talk of patriarchy, consent, gender roles, individualism, and equality.
