Tim Burton's next movie will be an adaptation of the YA novel Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. The book follows a little boy who finds an abandoned Welsh orphanage using "a strange collection of very curious photographs." Sounds right up his alley.

The story has a creepy setting, murder, time travel, and kids with special powers. Author Ransom Riggs came up with the story using real photographs he found. It's not surprise Burton has signed on to direct the bestelling book; Riggs' sequel is set for January 2014.

X-Men: First Class scribe Jane Goldman will pen the script, and who wants to bet there are roles for Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter? The book's publisher put together a trailer for the novel when it came out in 2011—check out the majorly creepy vibe and just imagine what Burton will do with it.
