Report: Google's Developing an Android Game Console and Smartwatch

Things are getting crowded in the tech world.

None

Do you know the saying, 'better safe than sorry'? Google may be taking that advice to heart.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Google has been building an Android-based gaming console, along with a smartwatch and an updated Nexus Q. Of course, this is exciting news (though it's nothing official)—but this may not have been news at all if it weren't for Apple, in a way. If what the WSJ reports is true, Google is making these devices in direct response to anything Apple may be developing. So, yes: the people over at Google listen to rumors, too.

As of now, 75-percent of smartphones and 56.5-percent of tablets are Android-powered, and as the company stated during their I/O conference this year, 900 million Android devices have been activated to date. Throw in another Android game console to join the recently launched Ouya, and things are going to get more crowded for Apple than they could imagine.

So, when it comes down to it, who do you trust to make the better product? Would you buy an iWatch, or an Android-watch?
