Yesterday afternoon, the N and Q trains were suspended in both directions from Queensboro Plaza to Ditmars Boulevard after someone was struck by an N train at the Broadway Street station. Though the MTA could not confirm the victim's identity at the time, the gruesome accident sent body parts flying onto the streets of Astoria below.

Just after 5:30 p.m., the FDNY confirmed that the victim was dead on arrival. Most N and Q trains resumed service as of yesterday evening, though trains were still travelling around the Broadway Street station.
