One man in Philadelphia helped rescue a baby alligator after finding it near a sewer gate. According to Joe Malseed, the 18-inch alligator was sitting in a puddle near his Fishtown house after apparently climbing out of the sewer. Malseed says the tiny gator was calm until another man approached it, causing it to hiss at him. That's when Malseed elected to call the Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia.

The alligator, which has been named "Allie-Gator," will remain at the facility until a permanent home is found.
