Trip Advisor recently released its TripIndex Cities 2013, which ranked Honolulu as the most expensive U.S. city to visit. The ranking is based on the combined cost of a one night stay for two at a four-star hotel, drinks, a two-course meal with a bottle of wine and round-trip taxi fare. In Honolulu, that adds up to $504.94.
The rest of the top ten includes New York City, Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, D.C., Seattle, Orlando and San Diego. Conversely, Las Vegas is the least expensive city to travel to.
