Far Cry 3’s standalone retro-themed expansion Blood Dragon has sold over 500,000 copies since its release in April, according to a new report from Games Industry International. Alongside sales of Blood Dragon, Ubisoft’s other big downloadable title, Call of Juarez: The Gunslinger, has also been selling well. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said he was quite pleased with both of games’ performance, particular Blood Dragon, which also sparked further sales of the original Far Cry 3 for PC.

Given the immense popularity of the deserving Blood Dragon, which put a much-needed tongue-in-cheek spin on Far Cry 3’s too-serious failed satire, maybe we’ll get some DLC for the game in the future. We’re pretty sure Michael Biehn would be interested.
