Dolly Madison Bakery Could Be Back in Business Next Month

It's been far too long, but the Dolly Madison Bakery could be back to making treats again next month. According to Hostess Brands LLC spokesman Michael Cramer, the Columbus, Ga. plant should be operating "by July." Things have been silent on that front since Hostess Brands, Inc. shut down in the U.S. back in November. Hostess Brands LLC bought the plant from U.S. Bankruptcy Court in April for $410 million.

Cramer also revealed as much as he could about the number of workers the revived plant would employ. The number should be around 200 at first, but should increase once the demand and payroll do. However, he declined to elaborate on what snacks would be produced at the location
