For the second time in four years, the Chicago Blackhawks have won the Stanley Cup, defeating the Boston Bruins on Monday. How did depressed Boston fans cope with the loss? By watching a lot of porn. According to Pornhub, traffic in Boston rocketed 21 percent around 11 p.m., just after the Blackhawks come-from-behind  victory in Game 6.

From 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., numbers were relatively average in Boston and Chicago. Once the game ended, Blackhawks fans took to the streets of Chicago to celebrate while Bruins fans apparently retreated to the adult website to release pent up tension. The loss and the end of the NHL season was perhaps too much to deal with. Temporary satisfaction can remedy the pain of defeat—we suppose.

The graph compares traffic in Boston and Chicago to that of the United States, just to keep things in perspective. That increase in traffic is just about as crazy as the fact that Pornhub has analysts to keep track of this info. It's a testament to the power of the adult entertainment industry.
