A devastating explosion at a chemical plant in Louisiana this morning has left as many as thirty people injured. Located in Geismar, Williams Olefins Chemical Plant burst into flames around 8:30 a.m. Central Time. According to witnesses, the blast looked like a huge "fireball in the air."
Hazmat units have been called in and an official told the Associated Press that at least thirty have been hospitalized. At the moment, there have not been any reports of fatalities.
