The Playlist recently debuted a set of new stills from the critical darling Ain't Them Bodies Saints, and they look just about as gorgeous and Terrence Malick-esque as every other Sundance Film Fest review has made the movie out to be.

Directed by David Lowery, the film stars Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck as Bob Muldoon and Ruth Guthrie, a criminal couple who are apprehended after a shootout in the Texas countryside. When Ruth shoots a cop, Bob takes the fall, sending him to prison, away from Ruth and their unborn daughter. Years later, Bob escapes and goes out in search of his family, who now have a new man in their life, Sheriff Patrick Wheeler (Ben Foster).

Unless you're around to catch Ain't Them Bodies Saints at one of the many festivals it's playing at—Cannes, BAMCinemafest, or Rooftop Films' Summer Series—you'll have to wait until August 16th for IFC Films to release it in theaters.
