If Your Kid Gets Shot, Do You Really Need to Consult WebMD?

What kind of mother are you?

None

WebMD is an extremely useful resource, but if your child gets shot, is it really necessary to scour the website for assistance rather than taking them to the hospital. A Santa Fe woman is guilty of this infuriating offense. A 14-year-old boy was shot in the thigh by 24-year-old Pete Jesse Rodriguez—he lives in the same house; so much fail involved—in a game gone wrong. Kids and adults: this is why you don't play with guns.

The incident happened at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, but the boy's mother neglected to take him to the hospital until 2 a.m. yesterday morning. What was she doing during the previous seven-and-a-half hours? Yeah, searching "gunshot wound" on the website.

The teen was transferred to Memorial Hermann Hospital, but not before the police were called. Rodriguez was arrested and charged for the shooting, and the boy's mother could also face charges for failing to take her son to the hospital in a timely manner.
