Say what you will about the city that never sleeps, but when it comes to diversity, no place does it better.

Business Insider's Nicholas Carlson tipped us off to Humans of New York, a Facebook page that showcases the city's inhabitants in street portraits and the subjects' own voice.

Says one man lounging in the park, ""When you yell at someone, who hears it more: you or them? You're only hurting yourself by getting angry. I want to live to be 100. I haven't raised my voice in 40 years."

And when asked, "What was your first impression of America?" a young immigrant replies, "I wondered why everyone was rushing."

Check it out the page for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments.
