Big news for fans of NBC's little show that could, Community. According to Vulture, Hollywood insiders are reporting that a fifth season renewal for the show is "very close" to happening, and that the only major discussion still going on between network execs is about the exact number of episodes that will be ordered.
NBC is reportedly refusing to comment, but apparently the decision was made after last night's episode managed to tie with Fox's American Idol in the ratings for adults under 35. So, though nothing is official yet, an announcement seems to be imminent. This, along with the news that fellow NBC Thursday-night comedy Parks and Recreation has officially been renewed for a sixth season? Best. Friday. Ever.
