Tres Carnes Opens in NYC's Flatiron District

Embrace your inner "Texican."

Tres Carnes (688 Sixth Avenue), which opened on Sixth Avenue in the Flatiron District last week, specializes in "Texican" cuisine. As the nickname suggests, the food is a combination of Mexican food and Texas-style barbecue, which is delicious however you decide to name it. Among the specialty dishes are the smoked brisket burrito, which comes with Mexican yellow rice, "Charros" pintos and a fire-roasted salsa, and runs for $8.73. Then, of course, there are the tacos, which are worth the $8.

A liquor license has yet to be secured, but soon enough, Tres Carnes will offer their renditions of a Michelada. Check out the menu, give this place a shot and let us know what you think.
