Will Charitybuzz's offer of a coffee date with Tim Cook surpass the $1 million mark? There are still 18 days left to bid, but from what we can tell the auction is already off to a smashing start. So far, bids have topped $295,000, which is more than the site's previous record bid of $255,000 for a chance to spend a day with former US president (and new Twitter user) Bill Clinton.
The Charitybuzz auction has an estimated value of $50,000, notes The Verge, and proceeds will benefit the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights. Whoever wins is allowed to bring one guest and spend between 30 minutes to an hour with Cook at Apple HQ in Cupertino, Calif. Bids close May 14.
Update: The bid is currently at $580,000.
