Great news for fans of Glee: It doesn't look like the show will be going anywhere any time soon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has officially renewed the Lea Michele-starring series for not only a fifth season, but a sixth season as well.

"Glee debuted as the first and only successful musical comedy series on television, and more than four years later, it continues to defy genres, break new ground and have a significant impact on popular culture," Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly commented in a statement announcing the news. "Week in and week out, Ryan MurphyBrad FalchukIan Brennan, Dante DiLoreto and the entire Glee team deliver a series that not only delights and surprises fans, but also inspires them to talk about, share, debate and engage with the show - and I’m absolutely thrilled to have them on board for another two seasons."

This news really comes as no surprise if you look at the numbers: During this past season, the show was pulling in an impressive 3.6 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demo, and an average total of 8.7 million viewers.
