The first set photos for Captain America: The Winter Soldier were released last week, giving fanboys a little teaser of the Captain America sequel. Filmed on location in Los Angeles, Chris Evans, as the star-spangled hero Steve Rogers, teamed up with his red-headed Avengers co-star Scarlett Johansson, reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff, better known in the Marvel universe the lethal Black Widow.

In the next installment, which takes in present-day Washington D.C. after the debacle in The Avengers, the two heroes work together to track down the mysterious Winter Soldier, a biochemically engineered super assassin carved into a familiar face, Rogers' former best friend, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan).

However, don't get too worked up over this first look. We'll have to wait until April 4, 2014 to see the finished film. For now, clear your schedule for the other Avengers' movies this year—Iron Man 3 drops on May 3, while Thor: The Dark World is due on November 8.
