In a tragic turn of events, the newborn baby that survived a hit-and-run accident that killed his parents in Williamsburg this weekend has passed away. According to community leader Isaac Abraham, the little boy—who weighed just four pounds when he was born yesterday—died around 5:30 a.m. this morning.

The boy's parents, Nachman and Raizy Glauber, were killed yesterday morning when a BMW struck the livery cab they were traveling in. The couple, both just 21-years-old, was on the way to the hospital because Raizy Glauber—who was seven months pregnant—wasn't feeling well. Her aunt, Ruchel Bochnel, said she was premature and "couldn't feel the baby."

The Glaubers were both pronounced dead once arriving at the hospital, the victims of blunt-force trauma. The child was delivered via cesarean section. The driver of the BMW and a passenger fled the vehicle and police are trying to locate them.

The car's registered owner, who was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident, has been charged with insurance fraud. 29-year-old Takia Walk was arrested yesterday morning.
