James Cromwell Cast in New ABC Thriller

From American Horror Story to Betrayal.

None

After a stint on the second season of American Horror Story, Emmy and Oscar-nominee James Cromwell is headed to ABC. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cromwell has been cast an upcoming thriller series for the network called Betrayal

The series, which will be written by ER's David Zabel, follows a photographer named Sara (Hannah Ware) who, trapped in an unhappy marriage, begins an affair with a lawyer for a powerful family in Chicago. She has the worst taste in men ever, though, because it turns out that he's defending a murder suspect that her husband is prosecuting. This apparently leads to a lot of betrayals from everyone involved, because that's the title of the show.

Cromwell will portray the head of said powerful family, Terence Karsten, who is described as "ruthless, shady and an unsavory entrepreneur." Fun!
