Apparently we aren't the only ones scared of Siri.

A new Dutch film called App explores what would happen if the sky caved in and your smartphone turned on you. Directed by Bobby Boermans, the film tracks psychology student Anna Rijinders, who's obsessed with all things social media, especially what's on her iPhone. Eventually she downloads IRIS, a curious app that begins sending cryptic messages—and killing off all her friends.

The film looks cliché, though we're intrigued by the plot and companion iOS/Android app for viewers. The second screen app contains information about the film that appears at various points. App hits Dutch theatres April 4, but you can check out the trailer below.
