Friendly neighborhood Spider-Man we think not. 35-year-old Phillip Williams was arrested and charged with assault Sunday afternoon after getting into an argument with an unidentified 44-year-old woman. Apparently, the woman declined to tip Williams after he posed for photos with her children. By the way—all of this occurred while Williams was dressed as Spider-Man.

The New York Post offered more of the unfortunate details:

Williams allegedly belted the mother after she wouldn’t pay him for posing with her two kids, causing the woman to storm off and get her husband. But she ended up targeting the wrong Spider-Man for revenge. “A woman came to me and said, ‘What did you do to me, you f--ker?’ ” said the other Times Square Spidey, who wouldn’t give his name.

Nothing like Spider-Man confusion to ruin a calm Sunday with the family. Somewhere, J. Jonah Jameson is talking through his mustache, complaining about how Spider-Man (or Spider-Men, in this case) are ruining the city.
