The cast ofAnchorman 2 just got a bit more talented because according to the Facebook page of director Adam McKay, Kristen Wiig has officially landed a role in the highly-anticipated sequel. No details have been revealed as of yet on who she will actually play in the movie, but as one of the most prolific female comedians working in Hollywood, her presence alone raises the film’s stock.
Wiig will be joining a cast that includes Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, and plenty of other Anchorman vets. We don’t know much about the movie’s plot, but we do know that it will hit theaters on December 20.
