If you thought losing your phone now was a pain, imagine when it’s transparent.

Taiwanese manufacturer Polytron Technologies has just released their first prototype of the world’s first transparent smartphone that might be out by the end of this year. The phone isn’t entirely ‘invisible’; some of the inner-workings of the phone can still be seen, like the sim card and battery - but we’re not being picky.

“All handset makers are looking to work with us,” Sam Yu, Polytron’s general managers said. “The technology is mature.”

In other words, the reality of a phone that uses this technology coming out by the end of the year isn’t that far-fetched. Check out the prototype above, and start saving your money.
