According to a Financial Times report, after some early Twitter employees were offered $80 million by the investment firm BlackRock to buy their stock, it was determined that the micro-blogging site is valued at $9 billion. While the number is quite impressive, it is still lower than the $10 billion and $11 billion valuations made after two secondary stock transactions last year.
