Title And Cast For Woody Allen's Next Movie Revealed

Just check out who will star in Allen's 46th film.

None

Woody Allen has been pumping out quality, and often great, films for over four decades now, and it’s rare to ever see him take a year off from the director’s chair. And 2013 will be no different as Allen is in the middle of preparing his 46th movie for theaters, which will be titled Blue Jasmine, according to The Huffington Post. A press release for the film said it will be about “the story of the final stages of an acute crisis and a life of a fashionable New York housewife."

Anything having to do with a crisis in someone’s life is fertile ground for Allen, but that synopsis is far from the best part about this upcoming movie. The press release also confirmed Blue Jasmine’s stacked cast, which includes Alec Baldwin, Cate Blanchett, Bobby Cannavale, Louis C.K., Andrew Dice Clay, Sally Hawkins, Peter Sarsgaard, and Michael Stuhlbarg.

This looks to be one of Allen's most impressive assembled casts in recent memory, and we're hoping these eclectic personalities manage to gel. This movie will also be a return to the States for Allen, who will shoot Blue Jasmine mostly in New York and San Francisco. The movie will be released via Sony Pictures Classics, but no official release date has been announced as of yet.
