Interactive eyewear maker Vuzix is poised to compete against Google on the smart glasses front with its M100 series. The virtual eyepatch runs on the Android OS (ICS) and boasts a WQVGA display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It’s also said to feature a 1GHz processor, 1GB or RAM, and 4GB of internal memory, along with image and video capture capabilities that can be viewed on the mounted panel. With Google Glass set for a 2014 launch, expect Vuzix to steal some of the search engine's shine this year.
