Telltale's The Walking Dead was one of those titles that surprised everyone. A licensed games based on a comic/TV series sounds like it has shovel-ware written all over it. After playing the game, it was no surprise that we choose it as our favorite title of 2012

Dan Connors of Telltale Games talks about what got the team inspired while developing The Walking Dead and what some of their projects for the future could be.

“I think the games that we talked about the most during development were Heavy Rain and Uncharted from a cinematic standpoint, and Mass Effect from a choice standpoint,” Connors told Redbull. “For other media we always look at the best episodic series out there – obviously the Walking Dead TV show, but also Game of Thrones and Mad Men, for the way they handle characters and are able to present them with so much depth.”

Connors went on to say that the team is hard at work on season two of the The Walking Dead, but a dream project of theirs sounds like something that all of us would love to see one day.

“Coming from LucasArts we always felt we could do a great Star Wars story game. We also love the idea of building out a deeper story to a great game franchise, something like Half Life Stories or Halo Stories.”
