With the announcement that Valve will be entering the home console arena with their 'Steam Box', we've all been waiting patiently for any new information.

According to the German tech site Golem.de, the 'Steam Box' is looking to run Linux instead of Windows 8. Not much of a shocker there considering how vocal Valve head Gabe Newell has been in his criticism of the Microsoft OS. Most speculate that the Steam Box will be revealed later this year during GDC 2013 in March or E3 2013 in June.

Hopefully we get something more concrete before six months from now. What do you think? Are you down with a Linux based console? Let us know in the comments.
