Last year, McDonald'sbegan testing chicken wings at Atlanta locations, and their success in that market has led them to try the wings out in other cities. This week,the "Mighty Wings" are being given a trial in Chicago. The wings will be sold in quantities of three, five and 10, and prices will most likely begin at $3.
A McDonald's spokeswoman confirmed that tests began in Chicago this week, but wouldn't reveal whether or not the chain plans to bring the wings to other cities. The price for chicken wings has climbed over the past year, and McDonald's has over 14,000 locations in the U.S. However, the demand has increased along with the price.
McDonald's may not make the wings a permanent item, but rather offer them for a limited time, as long as they can get them at a reasonable price.
