Over the weekend, a sailor got hammered and ran his boat aground in Laguna Beach. Police found 47-year-old Stephen Michael Fryer of San Diego passed out in his grounded sailboat around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The motor on the boat, which is called the"Why Not," was still running.

When Fryer came to, he reportedly refused to get out of the boat and had all of the tell-tale signs of intoxication. Lifeguards were forced to remove him from the boat. Fryer was charged with "suspicion of boating under the influence of alcohol," and authorities were still struggling to remove the roughly 30-foot sailboat from the beach yesterday morning.
