Sunday Liquor Sales Could Be Coming to D.C. in a Few Weeks

Thank the alcohol Gods.

D.C. Council took a big step by legalizing Sunday liquor sales late last year, and it could be making weekend's that much better very soon. Yesterday, the D.C. Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration said that Mayor Vincent Gray signed the law, and that it gone into emergency effect. The ABRA also began accepting applications for Sunday sales from retailers yesterday, so local liquor stores could be open all weekend in just a few weeks,

City officials believe that Sunday liquor sales will bring D.C. another $700,000 in annual revenue. Who's arguing against that?
