Meet RoboRoach. It's a Twitter mind-controlling backpack, created by Brittany Ransom, which stimulated the antennae of a cockroach whenever someone sent tweets with the the hashtags #TweetRoachLeft and #TweetRoachRight. Now, before you go considering this to be cruelty to insects, let us tell you that the invention is to explore whether the roach could learn to block out Twitter's overstimulation in the same way that humans do.

The roach invention was part of the "Life, in some form" exhibit by the Chicago Artists' Coalition, which ran from December 7 to the 21. Hit the thumbnails to see the backpack that the cockroach sported during that time.
