It seems dramatized television shows based on fairy tales are all the rage now - or at least they are on The CW. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network is in the process of developing a Robin Hood series, surrounding a young noblewoman who, in an effort to free her wrongfully imprisoned serf boyfriend, joins Robin Hood and his Merry Men. You have to admit, it's different!

The script will be penned by Cashmere Mafia's Tze Chun, and Oscar-winning American Beauty producer Dan Jinks will executive produce.

This show comes in addition to the three other fairytale-ish dramas the network picked up earlier this year: A modern-day Alice in Wonderland adaptation set in Los Angeles called Wunderland, a modern-day retelling of Great Expectations produced by Reese Witherspoon called Expectations, and a historical drama described as Game of Thrones meets Marie Antoinettecalled Reign. So yeah, watch out, Once Upon a Time fans: The CW is coming you.
