Earlier in the year, NBC and Pushing Daises creator, Bryan Fuller, were hoping to reboot The Munsters for a new generation of TV lovers everywhere. But nothing is ever that simple in Hollywood, and the show, titled Mockingbird Lane, was seemingly left for dead after filming only the pilot.

However, after NBC actually aired the pilot as a Halloween special, there was some hope among fans that the network brass would change its mind. Sadly, this tweet from Fuller has killed any optimism about the show’s future that folks might have had.

I tweet with a heavy heart. NBC not moving forward with #MockingbirdLane. From producers and cast, thank you all for enthusiasm and support.

Well that’s it. The pilot actually showed some potential, but as of right now, any chance of seeing more Munsters is out of the question.
