On Christmas day, a 26-year-old woman came home to her Irving Park apartment to find a registered sex offender folding her clothes. According to the Chicago Tribune, the woman and her fiancé realized something was wrong when they noticed that a piece of her luggage was sitting outside. Her fiancé entered first, and that's when they noticed 58-year-old Paul Edge.

According to the woman, Edge was rifling through her laundry and "folding her sports bra." Edge reportedly said that he was there to "do the dishes." He told police that someone had let him into the home and that he was there to clean it, but he actually left about 15 cigarette butts as a parting gift.

Edge was charged with violation of sex offender registration and criminal trespass. His bail was set at $125,000.
