Statistics Reveal what Numerous People on the East Coast Did Prior to Hurricane Sandy

Nothing shocking.

None

Take a guess at how thousands of people in New York and New Jersey prepared for Hurricane Sandy? If you've guessed "looking at porn," then you're correct. PornHub, the go-to website for adult entertainment, saw a spike in traffic between the evening of October 28 through the morning of October 30, with people in New York and New Jersey responsible for more traffic than anyone else in the U.S.

On Monday, Oct. 29, traffic in New York rose by 32 percent between midnight and 6 a.m, and increased by 12 percent between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. as if people knew they might lose their Internet service. In New Jersey, traffic rose by a sunning 60 percent on Monday between midnight and 6 a.m., and 20 percent between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Traffic in both states tapered off during the evening when the storm hit.

Even with a natural disaster around the corner, people still found time to get it in.
