Despite months of heavy promotion, Lindsay Lohan's comeback vehicle, Liz and Dick, premiered to modest ratings on Lifetime last night. According to Deadline, the film, which stars Lohan as the late legend Elizabeth Taylor and Grant Bowler as Richard Burton, only pulled in 3.5 million viewers total during its first airing.

While in itself those numbers aren't bad for cable, it's hardly the best that the network has seen - last month's premiere of the much less-anticipated Steel Magnolias pulled 6.5 million viewers, and January's premiere of Drew Peterson: Untouchable earned 5.8 million viewers.

Additionally, Liz and Dick didn't get great reviews.

Sorry, Lindsay.
