The new Star Wars movie just got a much-needed dose of cool as Movie Hole is reporting that Lando Calrissian is rumored to make his return in the film. Played by Billy Dee Williams in both Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, Lando is one of only two black characters to make an impact in George Lucas’ Star Wars universe, with the other being Mace Windu, played by Sam Jackson.
With rumors swirling that Luke, Han, and Leia would also be returning, Lando’s inclusion would reunite the still-living main cast of the original trilogy. Just the thought of Billy Dee sporting that classic Lando cape again is enough to make us fully endorse this new trilogy.
