A suburban Denver man has been arrested for allegedly telling his therapist that he wanted to shoot kids, and that he wanted to go down in history as the man who killed President ObamaMitchell Kenneth Kusick, a Colorado Mesa University student, was detained yesterday on suspicion of a federal charge of threats against the president.

According to Jefferson County Court records, Kusick reportedly told his therapist that he wanted to shoot students at a trick-or-treat event at Standley Lake High School. He also said that he wanted to go down in history as the "guy who killed Obama" the day before the president's campaign rally in Boulder.

Kusick said he was obsessed with the shootings at Columbine High School and Virginia Tech University, and that he "studied" the shooting at the movie theater in Aurora, CO this summer and highlighted what the gunman "did wrong." His therapist called the police, and he was placed on a mental health hold at a hospital.
