NBC's Chicago Fire is here to stay. According to Vulture, the network has given the new series a full first season order, an unsurprising move considering that the show has been pulling in fairly high ratings week after week.
The plot follows a group of firefighters and paramedics working at a firehouse in Chicago. As would be expected, their lives are all filled with lots of drama apart from what they do for a living. Since its premiere early last month, the series has been averaging about 8 million viewers a week, solid numbers for a newcomer show.
