Following a thorough investigation by school officials, a "Fantasy Slut League" has been uncovered at Piedmont High School in Piedmont, CA. Principal Rich Kitchens explained the details in a letter to parents, saying that varsity athletes were responsible for organizing the league. Male students "drafted" female students, and earned points based on "documented engagement in sexual activities" with them.

The league had reportedly been active for five to six years at Piedmont, and was said to serve as a "bonding activity" for some of the school's athletic teams. Male and female students were coerced into participating via peer pressure. "Participation often involved pressure/manipulation by older students that included alcohol to impair judgment/control and social demands to be popular, feel included and attractive to upperclassmen," Kitchens explained.

However, some students acknowledged that the league was inappropriate, but were afraid that disciplinary action would be taken against them, thus affecting their college applications. The school does not have specifics on who was involved, so rather than discipline students for past actions, they'd rather focus on "education, understanding, and moving forward."

Parents were furious, and some refused to believe that the school was unable to identify those involved. Kitchens said that students cannot be punished for events that take place off school grounds, and added that he sent the letter to make sure that the parents were aware of what was going on in their children's lives.
