Ubisoft is jumping on the DLC season pass bandwagon for Assassin's Creed 3, and the pass will include five pieces of content at 25 percent savings over individual prices, for a total of $30.

The season pass includes the just-announced DLC content "The Tyranny of King George," as well as some unannounced content and maps and characters for multiplayer.

“History is our playground—and AC teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period,” Executive Producer Sebastien Puel said in a press release. “While Assassin’s Creed 3 concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things ‘could have happened.’”

By which he means they made up an awesome story about George Washington becoming a tyrant and requiring Connor's particular skills, i.e. earning himself a good old-fashioned assassination.

All the DLC in the season pass will be released within six months of the game's release, and at least one pack will arrive a week early for pass owners. Is that enticing enough for you to drop an extra $30 right out the gate?
