RockMelt, the browser that attempted to change the way you browse the web by heavily integrating social media into web surfing, has finally released an app for the iPad.

RockMelt for the iPad was designed to be more visual, making it easier for users to navigate with touch gestures. If set up correctly, you will very rarely need to use the keyboard. At first sight it sort of resembles Pinterest, with a image-heavy news feed that users can personalize to include stories from the sites they regularly visit.

The social aspect, of course, is still there. By touching one button you can recommend stories to friends, comment on them, and share them on Facebook or Twitter.

Additionally, RockMelt has been designed to learn the likes and dislikes of the user and eventually suggest sites which may interest you.

You can download the RockMelt iPad app from the Apple App Store now for free.
