Two men claiming to be law students from Berkeley, CA, were arrested Friday afternoon for allegedly decapitating an exotic bird at a Las Vegas resort. Eric Cuellar and Justin Teixeira, both 24, were charged with suspicion of conspiracy and willful malicious killing of wildlife. They were spotted by police throwing around the lifeless body of a helmeted guineafowl at the Flamingo Resort and Casino, laughing the whole time.

The 14-year-old bird was part of the Flamingo's Wildlife Habitat, a garden area that's home to several types of birds. These two idiots were caught by a surveillance camera chasing the bird into some trees, then appeared soon after carrying the bird's body and severed head. Cuellar and Teixeira said they were students at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, and had student ID cards to prove that.

They're about to live a case study that illustrates the law at work.
