During an interview with Twitch Film, zombie icon George A. Romero revealed that he is in the process of writing a comic book for Marvel. He didn’t go into details on the plot of the series, but he did mention that “there will be no superheroes. But it will involve zombies!” Other than that, we’ve got nothing.

He could be doing anything from a comic adaptation of one of his films, to an all-new zombie project. At 72, Romero may feel the urge to once again prove himself as the undisputed king of zombies by trying to match the success of Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comic book series. We’ll have to wait to find out.
