High-speed chases aren't uncommon, especially in Florida. However, a high-speed chase led by a drunken man riding on a horse is a spectacle you can't plan for, or miss. Already wasted, 29-year-old Charles Larkin Cowart hopped on horse en route to downtown Bunnell, FL last Monday morning. Upon reaching his destination, he got the attention of police by taking a piss in someone's yard. Police then chased him through the busiest parts of downtown Bunnell for hours.

Cowart's own father put an end to his wild ride by tackling him, knocking him from the horse. The younger Cowart then took off running, travelling through a swamp as the K-9 unit chased him. He was finally captured and arrested, then charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and cruelty to animals.
