Because the cast of American Horror Story: Asylum isn't already large enough, producers have just cast Deadwood star Ian McShane to guest star in the series this upcoming season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, there's not much info yet on who exactly his character will be, but he will "tussle" with Jessica Lange's creepy, asylum-owning nun character. As creator Ryan Murphy posted on his Twitter:

Guess who's coming to #AmericanHorrorStory Asylum to tussle with Jessica Lange? Legendary Golden Globe winner Ian McShane!

McShane is set to appear in two episodes, which probably doesn't fare well for his character considering he will be visiting an asylum that's run by a crazy nun who looks like she has sharp nails. Hey, what happens at Briarcliff Manor Sanitarium stays at Briarcliff Manor Sanitarium!

The second season of AHS is set to premiere on FX on October 17th. To tide you over until then, though, check out the first five minutes of the premiere episode that were just released online today.
