According to TV Guide, Conan O’Brien will lend his voice to the character of Dave Endochrine in the upcoming animated adaptation of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2. In the original graphic novel by Frank Miller, Endochrine was based on David Letterman and was the late night talk show host that interviewed the Joker after he was released from Arkham.

"I've got a great affection for animation," O'Brien told the site. "I've always been interested in drawing, and I grew up on the Warner Bros. cartoons — which is where I think I learned a lot of my comedy. I think I got a lot of my comedic timing from the Road Runner and Bugs Bunny cartoons."

O’Brien will be joining a stacked voice cast that includes Peter Weller as Batman, Michael Emerson as the Joker, Mark Valley as Superman, and Ariel Winter as Robin. The direct-to-video adaptation will hit in early 2013.
