We stopped trying to follow Alec Baldwin's train of thought after he tweeted about wanting to quit acting and leave NBC - and subsequently, 30 Rock - for like, the fifth time, so we're not not even gonna try and understand what his latest comments regarding the show means. According to EW, Baldwin tweeted a rather strange statement this morning:

I offered NBC to cut my pay 20% in order to have a full 7th and 8th seasons of 30 Rock.I realize times have changed.

As we're sure you're all aware, the upcoming season of 30 Rock - premiering tonight! - will be the show's last, and it only consists of 13 episodes as opposed to the normal 22-episode order.

Series creator and star Tina Fey did comment on Baldwin's statements to EW, saying, "I had a dinner with him when I was very pregnant with my second child to say, ‘Let’s do season 7, come on. Let’s do it!’ And he said okay. I think I had the baby the next day. And now not a day goes by that he doesn’t go around to the crew and agitate for a season 8: ‘You’ve gotta change your minds!’ It’s like, ‘It’s not really up to me — and also, no.’"
